ABOUT US

Apostle Ken Spidell and his wife Pastor Marie Spidell are the founders of God's House of Refuge Outreach International Ministries and are the lifelines behind it. Apostle Ken Spidell is from Akron, Ohio and Pastor Marie Spidell is from Texarkana, Arkansas. Apostle Ken's path led him from serving in the U.S. Army after high school to Fort Lauderdale, where he worked for the United States Postal Service. Pastor Marie's path led her to Texarkana Community College where she earned an Associates of Arts in Elementary Education and completed her graduate work at East Texas State University. Pastor Marie also has a minor in English, a Kindergarten Endorsement, and is a Chapter 1 Reading and Math Teacher.

Both Apostle Ken and Pastor Marie eventually settled in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where they met. Both worked at a local church in the Evangelism Department and on July 26, 1991 they married. A few years later, after much prayer seeking God for direction, and in talking with their Pastor, this anointed couple was released into full time ministry with their leader's blessing.

God's House of Refuge Outreach International Ministries was born on April 17, 1998 the family room of the Spidell's home. The ministry eventually moved to the Saint George Recreational Center for 2 years, and then to 4595 N. Dixie Highway where it has been for the past 7 years.
